Over the past 20 years, Cranes Combined has firmly established itself as a leader in crane hire STATEWIDE THROUGHOUT Tasmania.
At Cranes Combined we pride ourselves on our friendly professionalism, our honesty, our ethical approach to doing business and building strong relationships with our clients.
We commenced trading in 1996, when Chris Kolodziej and John Morgan saw a need in Northern Tasmania for a business that specialised solely in crane hire. From our first crane, a P&H T300 slew crane, over the next few years we expanded the fleet and opened a second depot in Hobart. In December 2010 John retired and Chris and his wife Cathy bought out his share of the Company. Chris and Cathy then embarked on a program of capital investment.
The business took another significant step forward with the purchase of Statewide Cranes’ Hobart depot in May 2015. We welcome Southern Operations Manager Grant (Grunt) Jarvis and Statewide Cranes’ operators to our team and look forward to building not only the biggest but the best crane hire business in Tasmania.
Our pride and joy: our fleet
With their small wheel base, four wheel steer and all-wheel drive capabilities our Kobelco and Kato city cranes are ideally suited for accessing difficult sites. Whether you need to lift an air conditioner, steelwork or roof trusses from a narrow city alleyway or an all-terrain environment these cranes are effective and cost efficient, and available to hire statewide.
Pick and Carry
Our range of Australian built Franna and Linmac cranes are great general purpose machines. Ideal for height restricted areas and designed to lift a unit and ‘walk’ it to a new position. This is particularly handy when moving machinery or other large items. They have a central articulation joint, giving them excellent manoeuvrability in tight spaces like warehouses, switch yards or general site work.
We have 19 slew cranes available for hire statewide across our two depots ranging in capacity up to 220T. Supplied to your site with a full range of lifting gear and operated by the best crew of crane operators in the state these cranes are able to cover all facets of general hire.
Our all-terrain cranes are designed for off road work, carrying out lifting and manbox work in all environments. With a shorter wheel base and smaller outrigger footprint than truck cranes, they are ideal for working in tight spaces.
Our Maeda mini crawler crane is ideal for working in restricted areas on domestic and construction sites, with a capacity of 3T and a reach of 12.3m from a carrier that is only 1.3m wide this innovative machine has proven its worth time and again.
Our fleet of trucks are available statewide to not only bring the lifting gear you require to site, we can also cart your load across town or across the state, allowing you to arrange the entire project with just one call.
